Give Committee Hosts Fundraisers For Local Nonprofits
Omaha, Neb. (December 20, 2021)—During the month of November, Gavilon’s GIVE Committee hosted two fundraisers for nonprofits in Omaha: Child Saving Institute and deFreese Manor.
Gavilon employees participated in Child Saving Institute's Substitute Santa and were asked to bring in gifts for children and families in need to help provide them with a happy holiday season. The GIVE Committee exceeded their goal for CSI’s Substitute Santa fundraiser with more than 115 gifts and $850 worth of gift cards being donated.
Also during November, employees held a chili cook off to raise money for a local nonprofit in Omaha and raised over $800, a record for this annual event. With the donations, employees purchased Christmas gifts for the senior residents of deFreese Manor.
As part of Gavilon’s values, Gavilon is dedicated to giving back to the communities in which its employees live and work. The GIVE Committee supports this value by providing opportunities for employees to volunteer at and donate to local non-profits.
