Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State requirements.
  • Act as the primary Gavilon contact for all DOT regulatory communications
  • Responsible for all of Gavilon’s fleet management (licensing employee vehicles, insurance on vehicles, DMV checks, etc.). 
  • Provide training material to managers/supervisors for educating drivers and facility operators.
  • Perform formal DOT Compliance audits at each DOT-regulated site.
  • Support DOT jurisdictional determinations as relates to proposed or existing facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure controlled substance and alcohol (CS&A) training and testing is executed and documented properly.
  • Ensure all FMCSA roadside and site inspections are maintained on file.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance programs
  • Coordinate transportation issues with operations, insurance, security and environmental health and safety departments.  Additional duties and projects as may be assigned.



  • College degree preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in the administration of compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
