Job Responsibilities:

  • Overall accountability for financial reporting for assigned companies in a consistent manner, in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the company’s Standard Practices and policies.
  • Responsible for month-end closing responsibilities including:
  • Reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Prepare month-end reporting packages
  • Research and resolve any issues identified as a result of the month-end process
  • Analyze financials for completeness; make succinct and timely recommendations for P&L improvement.
  • Responsible for providing financial reports to operations management and the board of managers – weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual plan and the weekly/monthly forecasts
  • Responsible for reviewing operating metrics and yield reports.
  • Prepare bi-monthly borrowing base reports
  • Review account reconciliations and reconcile.
  • Responsible for the preparation of budgets, strategic plans for the assigned company.
  • Responsible to meet all deadlines for estimates, period end financial reporting, and statutory reporting among others.
  • Effectively manage and lead staff.
  • Drive currency hedging and cash forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, including all internal control processes
  • Lead confirmation, A/R, and letter of credit processes
  • Lead annual financial and tax audits
  • Liaison with corporate tax department on quarterly income tax provisions

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.  CPA preferred.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Commodity experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting/ financial analysis experience.
  • At least 4 years in managing teams or leading accounting projects.
  • 100% English profiency
  • SOX controls and compliance experience required.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in oral, written, and presentation formats is essential.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to scope, plan, and administer reporting process for continuous improvement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting related legislation, regulations and reporting procedures to comply with U.S. and local law.
  • Experience with tax, treasury, accounting system setup, and initial business setup.
